About ALDI

ALDI is one of the largest grocery retailers in the world, operating more than 2,300 stores across the United States and backed by a network of regional distribution centers that keep every one of those stores stocked. ALDI built its reputation on a lean, no-frills operating model — a smaller assortment, efficient shelf-ready packaging, and a distribution network engineered to move product from dock to store shelf with minimal waste and minimal delay. That same lean philosophy shapes life inside our warehouses: smaller, more capable teams, real cross-training instead of narrow one-task roles, and wages built to attract and keep the best warehouse talent in the region.

What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"I work the freezer and cooler sections of the warehouse, which is a different pace and environment than the dry side, but ALDI equips us properly for it and the cold-environment pay differential is real money on top of the base wage. Product rotation matters more here than anywhere else in the building, and I take that seriously." - Current Cold Storage Associate, Naperville, IL.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As an ALDI Cold Storage Associate, you select, store, and rotate refrigerated and frozen product within the distribution center's temperature-controlled zones.

• Temperature-Controlled Selection: Pick refrigerated and frozen product accurately and efficiently within the cooler and freezer zones, following voice-directed picking instructions while wearing the required cold-environment gear.
• Cold Chain Integrity: Monitor and maintain the cold chain by minimizing product time outside temperature-controlled zones, immediately flagging any pallet showing signs of temperature abuse before it moves further into the process.
• FIFO Rotation: Rotate refrigerated and frozen inventory using first-in-first-out principles, pulling the oldest dated product to the front of each pick slot to minimize waste and expiration risk.

Benefits & Perks

ALDI Cold Storage Associates earn a competitive hourly wage plus a cold-environment pay differential, along with paid time off, a 401(k) with company match, and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
